Dear Readers, if you are in Rome the next weekend you will probably enjoy some sweet moment – and it goes without saying that if you are not you’d better come here! 🙂
We are so glad to inform you that a Gelato Festival is going to take place in our beautiful city – that will appear even nicer and tasty, as you can see from the picture below:
The Gelato Festival is the most important event dedicated to the italian icecream. As you may know the “gelato” is one of the culinary excellences italian people are so proud of – we are pretty sure that most of you knows it and loves italian icecream. Every time a guest checks-in at Palladini Hostel Rome, one of the questions he or she will ask is: “Where can I have a good gelato?”.
After we are asked, we almost argue (eheh!) because we have different opinion about it. Some of us will reply Palazzo del freddo Giovanni Fassi, some will say La Giudecca, some other will address you to The Old Bridge. And some day we will probably dedicate an article to all of them, since we really love being asked this question and we always will: italian icecream is an art, we love it, we couldn’t live without it and we are so happy whenever we have the chance to talk about it! <3
So, today we are so glad to talk about the Gelato Festival. While writing this post we have discovered that this is actually a European competition that involves the best Italian icecream artisans who cheer up with their gelatos people coming from every part of Europe, a travelling festival that take place from April to September, spreading through Italy and some European City.
One of the most interesting feature of the Gelato Festival, is that most of the gelato masters will create unique and original flavours just for the event – can you imagine that??? :-O
With your ticket you can taste all of the flavours you want and determine who is going to be the winner: together with the votes of the technical jury, your vote will be important to acclaim the chef who will continue the adventure with Gelato Festival World Masters, the global competition that in 2021 will compare the best chefs in the world – a challenge that will probalby cease the arguments about the best gelato ever among the Palladini Hostel Rome Staff 😀
Don’t miss the chance to taste the best icecream ever, join the Gelato Festival from April 28th to May 1st. Where? The venue is the Terrazza del Pincio, near Villa Borghese. More info here: http://www.gelatofestival.it/en.
